Two blends that haven't been listed but I feel should be at the top of anyones list; L.J. Peretti Royal Blend and House of Calabash Irishman's 5 O'Clock. Excellent quality tobaccos blended by two top notch blenders.

While I haven't tried the first one, Irishman's 5:00 is the nectar of the gods. Sam Gawith Skiff is another good one that I don't think has been mentioned yet.

My husband's (current) favorite, although he just got some Pirate Kake last week.
My favorite latakia blend is an off-the-wall oddball, but quite tasty: Hearth & Home's Obsidian. Black cavendish, latakia, perique, and stoved virginia singing together like an old barbershop quartet.

I like Larry's blend but before I tried that, I smoked H & H Daybreak. Little lighter than Larry's and great with coffee.

Likewise, note the guys who say, "I don't usually smoke (whatever it is),and then like the blend they usually don't care for.
Uh Oh!!! i feel the crosshairs--
i spent many years avoiding Latakia because it gave me head aches, (i thought)---today it doesn't seem to cause problems--guess i grew out of it--
so now what is my favorite tobacco??--yep--Morley's Best--fairly decent load of Lat in that blend--

you may not care for it if you don't like burley--but for me and my house, MB will likely be in top spot for a loooong time--

I've got quite an assortment of Latakia blends here and just smoked a couple more good ones: Northwoods and Magnum Blend from Boswell Pipes and Tobaccos. They are both very good blends, particularly the Northwoods. Boswell also makes what I consider the best aromatics on the market.

I keep it simple : half Lat half VA - Sam Gawith Commonwealth Mixture. If I want Lat AND Orientals : PS Balkan Supreme or Balkan Sasieni ( I highly suspect they are one and the same ). For something extra : SPC Plum Pudding
I have to be picky with my Lat blends, if they have Red VA as a base, I can't smoke'em, they don't get along with me.....

My favourite and go to Latakia blend is Murray's-era Nightcap.
But once in a while I am in the mood for something sweet so I bring out Sillem's Black.

Then there are times when I crave something elegant and easy, so I go and find the tin of Frog Morton on the Town.

Every so often, I really dig the exquisite taste and bring out the Syrian Three Oaks, Wilke's 534.

Sometimes, I can't decide between VA or Lat, that's when I grab the Frog Morton and mix it with a pure VA.

There have been days when I was in a leathery mood, and My Mixture 965 really resonated.
And then ... Today I've opened a Bombay Court tin from 2003 and it blew me out of the water, into the sky, around the earth, to Jupiter and back.
