Have you had those at 8? Just curious.

Oh yeah, I've had them every step of the way. Basically, for the last 12 or so years, Ive been buying 2-3 times what I smoke of these and Charing Cross. And I'll also hop on tin bids and grab the occasional deal of some tins that have some age on them already.

I call them my retirement stash.

I love Charing Cross and can't imagine what it'd be like aged. I also enjoy White Knight and Black House, really good flavor but thought they didn't smoke as good as Pease blends do. I bought some Quiet Nights, McConnell's Oriental, and Nightcap for aging as well as a few other tins to a lesser extent and can't wait. Maybe I'll be able to make it to 5-7 on some of them. I'm going to try to order more as I smoke in order to do so.

Charing Cross is great. It is a regular go-to for me (as are the others I mentioned).

The thing that happens when you get to that 7ish year mark, is the flavors have meld together so much that you really can't pick out the individual components anymore. I have some 12 year old Magnum Opus that I cracked open a couple months ago and it is such a delight.

Buy some extra of what you like and put it in the back of the cabinet and forget about it. I think it's worth it.
