Last TAD of November! All New To Me Blends!

This TAD delivery actually came Friday, but I'm just now getting the time to post pics of it.

Here's what I got;
1x 2oz. G.L. Pease - Gaslight

1x 2oz. C&D - Black Duck

1x 2oz. C&D - Evening Rise

1x 2oz. C&D - Cross-Eyed Cricket

1x 100gr. Mac Baren - HH Highland Blend

1x 100gr. Mac Baren - Burley London Blend (I actually ordered 2 tins, but only 1 came. The other is on back order)
All of these are "New to me" blends. So far, the only one I've tried is the Black Duck, which was very good!

Also, the HH Highland Blend is a limited edition! It's hand numbered and signed, although the signature is smudged. It says that the launch date is May 2011, but the tin is dated March 2011 on the back, so it has a good bit of age to it.

If anyone knows more about this tin, I'd like to hear what you have to say! For all I know, all of them could be limited editions! LOL!

Interesting tin of HH Highland! All the tins I've seen are without the "ChicagoLand Pipe Show" blurb. May I ask where you picked this tin up at?
Let us know how you like this blend. I noticed the description mentions Glenfarcias (Scotch whisky) has been added.

I just finished my first bowl of Burley London. Not quite as good as I expected, but a decent blend none the less. It smoked to ash, with only one relight, and had decent flavor. I think a little time in the jar will do it some good. Still, I have other burleys which I believe to be superior to BLB.

Nice haul Pete. From what I have been reading, people are really enamored with the new Gaslight, you might want to crack that one soon.

Nice haul. The only one of those I've had is the BLB...and to be honest, I was a little disappointed with it. Look forward to your impressions of Gaslight.

Thanks guys! I have cracked open the Gaslight, but I've not tried it yet. It smells amazing in the tin, very dark and earthy!

I had Gaslight for the first time at our club meeting last week. I plan to get several tins asap. Black Duck and the Cricket are also favorites of mine. You have chosen well. have fun with your new trove.

I've never seen the Chicago Pipe Show stamp on the Highland blend as my 100 gram tin doesn't have one. I've smoked it before and its a great blend.

Well, I tried the C&D Evening Rise, and it was a big let down. Maybe with some time in the jar it might get better, but I couldn't make it through one bowl! I found it kinda harsh and bitter, it also left a bad aftertaste.

Sorry to hear that petes03. That's disappointing. This has happened to me quite a few times and I hate wasting money on tobacco that I can't stand!
