Hello,

For several weeks, I try to deepen my sandblasting techniques and I try many things, some more successfully than others.

So here is some of the last blasts.
Bruno
The first on is a hand made pipe

And the following are made with a pre-turned stummels (but hand made stems).

Love the blasts! What media are you using? I'm experimenting as well. Right now with 150 grit glass bead.

Really nice works.

I noticed that all the blastings are very similar, above all in the zone between the bowl and the shank.

I am not expert about sandblasting, so I ask you if it depends on the fact that you blasted them in the same position or you had no other choice?

Lohengrin it is all based on the pattern of the grain. He has made them so that the grain would flow with the shape if he could have left them smooth.

Sorry I missed your first post five months ago, Mr. Nutten.

Thank you all for your comments :)
@clickklick : I use glass bead too with different PSI.
@lohengrin : indeed the blastings are very similar because I choose briar with 360° rings, so drawing rings is similar. But I follow the pattern of the grain.

I try to make confortable pipes. Shanks are drilled to 4mm, the bite zone behind the button between 3.8mm and 4.2mm, the stem is drilled from 4mm to 2mm, and the lens is open in V for a good draw.

I assume you mean these are your most recent, certainly not your last. Amazing work. Bravo.
