Larry Faulkner Pipe Tampers

I picked these up on ebay on impulse because I thought they looked cool. They were made by a gentleman named Larry Faulkner. What is odd is that, after I won them, I tried finding out a bit more about Larry Faulkner but didn't learn very much. I did learn that he used to have a website called tamperworks.com, but it doesn't seem to be around any longer. Just curious if anyone knows anything about this craftsman.

Larry was a regular at pipe shows and made some of the nicest tampers I'd ever seen. Great guy too (what do you expect; he's a Navy man!) He was also a very gifted pipe maker and was just starting to get noticed when he opened up a bike shop. His tamper and pipe making has gone by the wayside I'm afraid, while he focuses on his business. Which is a shame, because I think he was on the verge of becoming big.
