Largest Peterson System pipe?

Hello all,

I'm interested in purchasing a Peterson System Standard but as a relatively new pipe smoker, I'm overwhelmed by the choice available for these pipes. I'm trying to figure out which model is the largest...I can see that the 307 is listed as a large one, but not sure if it's the largest. If anyone has any insight into this, I would be very grateful. Have you given any thought to asking Peterson. Or, simply visit their website and check the demensions, they are listed for each class of pipe. I could post it but, I'm not wanting to. No point in depriving you the thrill of discovery on your own.

That's pretty much the breakdown in descending order. The House and Pub pipes aren't going to show up as Systems on the website so that might not be obvious if you didn't already know that.

This reminds me of an exchange I had many years ago with my friend, Manny. We were listening to the Brian Eno song, "Backwater," which had this verse:

I generally agree with that statement but as I am looking for one as well, I have noticed that some of the Pub Pipes have larger dimensions lately than the house pipes on one of our sponsors. Maybe its just a recent fluke. Some of the pub pipes chambers are going 55mm deep while house pipes are 50-52mm. Widths are generally 21-22mm. I only saw one expensive silver house pipe with 54.61mm depth.
Check the dimensions and compare.

Since you are looking at System Standard, I think B42 might be the largest. You should look at the chamber dimensions. That's where tobacco goes.

In the system standard series, the XL315 strikes me as one of the largest, if not the largest.

The largest Standard Pete System is the XL315
