Lane Limited LL&, marked "New" at the smokingpipes.com site, is billed as "a mellow, soft, somewhat sweet number ...

toasted Cavendish with premium Burleys and Virginia ...gentle chocolate/toasted marshmallow ...." It is an even burning

blend, mild, with hints of the above mentioned flavors and what I experienced as walnut. This one might please some

English blend smokers as a change of pace, and is a fine recommendation for new pipe smokers. Some remains

unburned at the end of the bowl, but it burns slowly enough that you feel you've had a full pipe. I recommend ordering

a 2 oz. sample to see if you like it. If not, pass it along to a newbie pipe smoker. I'm keeping mine.

I've smoked a good bit of it.It's a nice mild smoke. On it's own though I don't find it to have a great deal of flavor.I've used it quite a bit to add to other blends that I thought were a bit too heavy. In particular Latakia blends. It seems to me to work well for that.

For some reason, LL-7 was discontinued a couple years ago but has made a comeback. I really like it - it's a terrific soft aromatic. I find it similar to Pipesandcigars Trout Stream with a bit more vanilla. Great first thing in the AM & a good all-day tobacco.
