Lane Limited Ready-Rubbed, pictured in the PC paper catalog, "was known by another name" it says. Okay, so what name did this blend previously use? I've seen this text in several catalogs and I have always been curious but never seen it discussed. This is 14 oz tub tobacco.

Used to like Edgeworth slices when it was made in the US. Not an everyday smoke for me, but pretty flavorful as a change of pace from VaPers and Balkans.

Actually since Jims original review Lane has changed the baccy. Different cut and changed the casing around. He promissed an updated review.

No one mentions any flavorings. Is it non-aromatic? I usually like burley blends, even aros, as long as they are tobacco forward.

Although I have the large tin, I haven't smoked any yet but I hear it's a light aromatic in the same vein as Prince Albert or Charter Hall. Lightly topped with cocoa and vanilla notes but with the tobacco being a major player. I certainly hope it's better than the two I mentioned as I get a weird chemical taste with those.

Definitely tobacco-forward. If I could say it reminds me of any other blend, it would be Classic Burley Kake. It's just not as "wet" as CBK, in my experience. It doesn't have that soft, almost velvety texture CBK has.

Sounds like another tub tobacco classic, a worthy buy when the hoarding impulse strikes.
