In some instances, yes. In others, most certainly not.

The impact of the tariffs on China won’t be noticed yet. But soon the huge amounts of non-exportable junk we don’t want here (read: scrap metal) are going to start to add up and the economic impact of these unsold goods on their brokers will be apparent.

The reason we don’t want to process scrap metal here in the US? Labor costs. That’s just one singular example of thousands.

I’m going to guess you don’t understand a lot of “what the EU does”.

Crippling foreign debt is what the US does best.

The United States is the one of the very few place in the World that is still doing well economically. Almost 300,000 jobs were added last quarter. Yet, we should do what the EU does? That's rich.

Yes it's political. But I had to retort. :)
Definitely. The EU economic model is waay superior.
Well, superior to say, well, somewhere. I’m sure of it.

Not saying one is superior to the other, just saying that’s the reason. Everyone keeps saying jobs are going elsewhere and that’s why. Maybe we should be glad we cost so much?

What are the logistic implications of it being produced so far away? Will it be more expensive? My heart goes out to the workers, I work in production (printing press operator) so it hits me personally.
