Spent the weekend at Matagorda beach, but finished Labor Day kayak fishing and smoking a couple Griffins robustos, had a BIG bowl of Klassic Burley Kake for the hour and a half drive home and currently burning some Magnum Opus.... Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Got to spend some time with one of the good doctors Freehand pipes and a "well aged" pouch of

Carter Hall I found forgotten in the Garage tool box last week.
All around a nice campfire on a river bank Sunday evening, well into the night.

My middle son and I sat in our beautiful backyard pergola mainly with Bengal Slices, the ciggie-smoking daughter in law sat with us... the remaining spouses sat upwind from all of us and we all had a wonderful time! (The event also included what was probably the last full-blown picnic of the season... also wonderful!)

Deathmetal - someone lied to you. The national beer of Texas has always been and always will be Lone Star. Even if it does suck.
There are too many good craft beers to try to waste time drinking big brewery beer.

loan star beer, is almost like butch, shiner beer is pretty good, but one time i did manage to drink a 6 pack of stellas, and found out that they are pretty strong.

Late to the party. I enjoyed some Jack Knife Plug in a lovely Danish shape 'MEL' pipe (Does anyone know this maker?). Lady N did me in and I had to lay down for a spell after the bowl. She can pack a wallop in that delicious blend.
