I use labels because... OCD. That jar in the bottom far right is killing me.

Sensible looking cellar, good lad!👍
BTW, what’s wrong with Somerset Flake jar?

An amiable Canadian provided me with my labels.
He posted here, showing off his skills & labelling prowess. Unfortunately for him, he owed me a favour, so after seeing his post, I called it in. Lol
Thanks again mush! (You know who you are).

220+? Two Hundred & Twenty Plus Blends? Mas Que Dos Cientos veinte?
Struggling to find a blend you like or something? I know they say ‘variety is the spice of life’ but I’m sorry, that just seems ridiculous. However you say it. 220! Bloody Hell, that’s more blends than Mac Barens!rotf

Yeah so 220 was the last time I took inventory and updated my spreadsheet which was months ago. Its probably closer to 250+ now, I’ve been meaning to make a for sale post to try and sell most of it off but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

Most of it was acquired over the course of the three years Ive been pipe smoking and before I figured out I could join a forum and get samples from people.

I’ve pretty much got what I like dialed in now and been getting more of those blends but there is still plenty I haven’t tried yet either, plus the fact these companies keep slinging LE releases doesnt help.

But yeah I love pipe smoking and tobacco so that might have something to do with it. I’m probably going to transfer most of it into mylar soon its just getting to be a bit much with the jars.

LMK if anyone wants to buy anything Ill send you the list! Cheap too!

When I was growing figs, still have two in the ground, I used to put "labels" on them. Blue masking tape and sharpie. What I didn't know was, sharpies aren't permanent as they say it it. Few good showers and the names were gone. I didn't notice it till the end of the season. But the luck had it, I remembered most of them by leaf shape and the figs I had off the trees. Had about 100 of 'em in containers.

Now, I still haven't seen really OCD collection with full tin note, tobacco profile, and each open dates on the jar with name label x)

I do all that with RFID tags on the jars, linked to an online-accessible database. That way, I can update tasting notes from the field, check inventory, update insurance, and track the jars, should they get stolen. I just wave my iPhone over the jar and it tells me everything that I need to know, including my full name, which I forget sometimes.
