Not that many manufacturers make a dark flake and Dunhill's gone so that leaves Wessex, Gawith, and who else?? I'd says it's worth the trouble getting it if you have a craving for that style of flake.
Dunhill/Peterson Dark Flake just came back on the market in EU. I see it coming to the U.S. but who knows when....
They showed the Dark Flake in the original press release so I figured it was a matter of time.
I'm more of a medium flake guy really. Dark flakes, you have to be in the mood 
From looking where your from tobaccopipes address is a day trip for you and that would be a hell of a B&M if they allow that lol
I've smoked a couple of bowls. I found it rich, syrupy sweet with the Red Va leading the way. I hated to say this but it is reminiscent of McClelland Va Flake. Quite good but a bitey. Let it dry a lot before smoking.
I didn't get the syrupy part you're finding, but the McClelland part I get. It has that red VA plus vinegar quality. And yes, bitey too. Dry it for sure.

Did yours come from a tin by any chance? From what I've read the tinned version has a much heavier wine note. I just got a one ounce sample in a plastic bag and much of that topping may have evaporated off, Could account for our different experience of the blend.

Nope. Online only Normally though I believe you can contact them and set up an appointment.
It was bulk. When I say syrupy, I mean the kind of molasses sweet flavors you can get from red and dark virginias. Not much citrus with the 150th.
I drive less than 5 miles from them when we go see the in-laws. It's only about an hour or so from where I live. I'm definitely going to check on that!
This bit the heck out of my tongue and mouth. Deffinitely will try again, but so weary. IM on day three of recovery.

Wouldn’t really say it’s a B&M but you can visit their warehouse and I’m sure if you wanted to buy something there wouldn’t be any problem lol it says on their website “by appointment only” try messaging them and asking
