Something else to consider. They have capstan at $8 each and SaltyDog for the same. Also...this is a suggestion from others and it worked for me. Keep the order under $500 and package under 5lbs. Do not include cigars or cigarettes. They stick the bill and contents right on the box for inspection. Multiple copies. Just a heads up.
Where are you seeing Capstan and Salty Dogs for $8? I assumed this was Esterval's, they tend to be the most export friendly, but they've got Cap at the usual $15.

The only one we get in the UK is their No.66 mixture. From what I can remember it was a reasonable blackcurrant aromatic. Does come in a nice tin tho.

I went ahead and ordered some Wintertime 2021 and the Leonardo da Vinci, looking forward to trying it out (when it arrives in about a month and when I can find the time to go pick it up at customs, so probably like 6-7 weeks out lol! I also ordered some of my favorite Drucquer and Sons and will likewise have to wait about a similar time. I haven't had Levant Mixture in a long time, that's a really nice Latakia blend. I have some Blairgowrie on hand. Wish I had stocked up more before leaving but it is what it is lol. I think I will add that 88 to my next order. What I found from other's experience is that you can only order a certain amount. If you get too much it automatically gets confiscated, so I will add that to my next order later. I went with the limited edition tins since I wanted to ensure I would get a crack at those first. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

Dear gents,
Found a box of K&K Winter edition 2021 in one of the local stores.
Given that we only have Peterson, C&D, and MacBarren - this is a rare treat.
Is this tobacco worth pursuing for someone who prefers to stay away from sweat aromatics and from "hot burning" tobaccos?

I looked up the K&K Winter Edition of some years ago, and they are all aromatics: Tobacco Reviews | Kohlhase, Kopp und Co. KG - Winter Time (2018) (Kohlhase & Kopp Limited Edition series) - https://www.tobaccoreviews.com/blend/11813/kohlhase-kopp-und-co-kg-winter-time-2018

Also I stay away from aromatics, for the same reasons you would. I wouldn’t buy it. Once the wife of Peter Heinrichs donated a box of summer edition to me also blended by K&K i suppose, a lot of fruity aromas. Once in a year I smoke a pipe of that sweet stuff for change. No tongue burn at all, well balanced blend overall.
