My family business is importing knives into Australia to supply shops and sell on eBay. I carry around a Victorinox Champ Swiss Army knife every day. My utility/hunting knife is a bit big to carry around in public but it's a Ka-Bar USMC black combat knife with a brown leather handle.

Just a small boxcutter in my truck, but not on my person. Don't want to upset the local "officials" with carrying anything "concealed"....so much for freedom ??

Currently a small, Gerber Chive. I've lost so many Case penknives, it makes me sick. The Gerber has a clip and so far, I've retained it. I keep a small SOG on my keyring, which is incredibly handy, but I HAVE TO remember to take it off my keyring when I fly. Flying, yeah, I lost a couple of nice Case knives that way as well......

I have carried a pocket knife for 30+ years and always have it. I have never lost one yet. :)

Thats a good point Jason, a sharp knife is dangerous if you're careless, but a dull knife will get you in trouble a lot more often.
In the Scouts, we use to teach the kids. "A dull blade is more dangerous than a sharp one." And there is merit to that. So often kids cut themselves because they got angry with a dull blade and went all gun ho.
As for carrying a blade. I sadly don't due to the fact that I have to go through a metal dedictor every day, and don't want the hassle of explaining it. I do pride myself on an old M3 Imperial blade I bought when I was eleven. It's got some weight, and the thing was, and still is sharp after almost 70 years. Thing even had a bit of blood on it when I got it. 0.0

Now days I carry a small Swiss Army pocket knife.
When I am in the garage I carry a buck lock blade, prolly 30 years old. Still works though.

A small three blade Uncle Henry stockman for me, I've had it for years. Also wore a Buck folding hunter on my belt when I was in the Navy.

I almost always carry a Spyderco Native that clips nicely inside my front pocket. I work in an office and never figured I'd use a knife all that often, but it's amazing how frequently I do need it. Have a few others as well -- I particulary like a CRKT Carson M16 -- but it's a bit larger than the Spyderco for EDC.

I carry a Gerber with me all the time. It gets annoying when we go to public venues and I forget to take it out of my pocket.
I have several knives, most my dad or my grandfather gave to me when I was a kid.

And how many times have you heard "Anybody got a knife I can use?" for a million different things.
All the time! I've had a couple people comment that my knife looks like it's a dangerous knife just because its black.

I carry an Mtech, black frame. It is a little scary looking, but a very good knife and holds an edge.

It really is one tool with a thousand uses.

Ditto. Living and working around Washington DC, it's a crap shoot knowing when you might have to go through a metal detector to go meet in someone's office. Most places are getting nice enough to hold it for you while you're inside. The Newseum did that for me when I forgot to leave my knife in the car a while back.
