I own several KIRIBI ( pipe) lighters , now thinking-- of ( maybe) buying ^PEARL^ 'STANLEY ' : are KIRIBI & PEARL-- 2 Different lighter's Manufacturers ? ---------

I had terrible luck with a Ronson butane lighter. Small flame, worked for a few days, then nothing. The company declined a return. I am really disappointed.
Got another lighter through a pipes and tobacco supplier and it worked well. Now, a couple of months later it lights intermittently but still does work.
Ironically, a $5 Chinese made torch lighter always works but is prone to charging pipe rims.
