Toker, that sucks man! I have been there a few times in my life, and it's always stressful. This is only a bump in the road, you'll pull through. Please put things in perspective. You lost your job, not a loved one.
I'll be in Jax from 5/15 -5/20. I'll PM you when I'm there and we can meet up for a bowl and a few jiggers of bourbon 8)

Just keep smiling....what doesn't kill us makes us stronger.

What doesn't kill us sure gives it a hell of a try. That's what makes us stronger, living thru and dodging the shots.
I hope that things work out, lots of good info. At least since you were cut, the company shouldn't fight the unemployment, so shouldn't be hard getting that taken care of.
Selling things is the hardest part, but things are replaceable when times get better. Keep that in mind and it may make it a little easier.
I'm not unemployed, but work is slow so times can be tough, just keep as busy with things as you can and you'll be fine.
Good luck with the job hunt.... You just need to be a better hunter than most.

Sorry to here bub; I will be visiting family in St. Marys, GA about 30-45 min north of you next week. I haven't been home in about 7 year, but maybe we will be able to set up a meet to have a bowl and let the kids run around together. My son is 3. Anyway best of luck to you.

Well the search for work continues. One good thing unemployment was approved. It will be a few weeks till we get to see that. Doing the Benny home maker thing; cleaning, organizing, changing diapers, and wiping noses. I just keep my pipe smoking and keep busy. Only thing I can do right now.

Toker I am terribly sorry to hear that. No where you go anymore will save you from job loss and it's the sad truth.

At a time like this it is hard to say much of anything uplifting and I know all to well with the loss of my cat yesterday.

You are in my prayers and I am sure everyone elses also. Please stay strong and keep looking.

The good lord has a plan for all of us and this is only on page in very big book.

Once again my condolences. You know that we are all here for you. The pipe community is a strong one don't forget it.

I don't know how computer savy you are, but I used to work for these guys. They currently have two work from home positions available. http://www.support.com/about/careers/openings
Edit: I also recommend checking out your local government for job openings. I work for our city and the variety of jobs available are spectacular. Job security is also pretty solid.
