First as a Newby (smoking 4 years now) I often have a revelation that many others have had and it’s already been discussed. But as I was researching sweet tobaccos the names virginia, oriental, and dark fired comes up. I have found and tried some V/O blends, and some V/DFK blends, so I went to SP and filtered on DFK/O blends and they do not exist? Not even a DFK/O/Cavendish exists?

Is this true or is the filter in error or does anyone carry a DFK/O blend, or is it a known horror blend to avoid?

The first time I've heard "sweet" used for Dark Fired or Orientals.
Yea i was actually searching for what Virginia plant was sweetest and what part of world grows tobacco with highest sugar content and Orientals came up before Virginias. I did not believe it per say but started looking for V/O blends and BiJou and Sun Bear popped up which I have tried and liked. Since I do like DFK also and it has a BBQ sweetness to me I wondered if a DFK/O blend exists. None. The only DFK/O/V blend that exists is CD Firebird Flake. no worries. The professional blenders must know something I don't know. Probably DFK and O are lead components and mixing them would be like mixing coffee and coca cola.

Orientals definitely have a little sweetness to me. The sun-curing lets them keep a little more sugar than if they were air-cured.

Now I think I understand the question a little better. Maybe you could try C&D Byzantium or Balkan by Brebbia. Both have Perique, but don't use Virginia or Burley as a base.

I feel like people want to pin down this mathematical approach to taste and it just doesn't always work that way. The same ingredients in different ratios and preparations can taste very differently. I've had some very high sugar content virginias that still tasted very bright and grassy.
