Not to quibble over details, but he won 6 cups in 7 seasons, 5 vezinas, the conn smythe, the calder for rookie of the year and won the 1972 Summit Series. He also wrote The Game, the seminal book on hockey, got a B.A. from Cornell, L.L.B. from Mcgill, and the Order of Canada. I have the knees of an old goalie, but that's about as close as I got to accomplishing anything this man did.One of my childhood heroes.
Growing up in Canada there was none better. He only played 7 full seasons but he won 5cups and numerous individual awards. GOAT
Thanks for correcting me and providing all the details! I went back and did a little reading after your post. I didn’t realize he won the cup & smythe before the Calder.
