Some of you asked for pictures of the chicken sweaters. I don't own any chickens and as I've never made sweaters for them before, I had to procure some life size models. I over estimated the amount of time and yarn I would need for the project. So with the remainder of both (time and yarn) I decided to "dress up" the models a bit.

The customer liked the stuffed ones so much she bought them from me on the spot lol.

I do little wood carvings. Animals out of scrap, wooden spoons, Santa Christmas ornaments, etc...

I use very sharp knives and do NOT smoke while I carve. Depending on my mood some days, I spend more time on smoke breaks than carving though.

As an extension, I collect knives. Both the small small fixed blades for carving, and mostly traditional pocket knives.

Runic, that's hilarious. My wife knits, sews, crochets and cross stitches and we have chickens. She has made an apron for a couple that were getting their backs pecked but never aprons. She's backed up on projects, but this may make the list. For the giggle factor alone.
Edit: And real chickens will NOT wear shoes, I guarantee it.

hmhaines, take a look at my Commercial Craft/Design post for a notion of something to design, make and sell. If this idea doesn't click with you, it might lead to another. Meantime, I hope the move goes well.
