Only eight more days until my move to Minneapolis. I've got a ton of work and packing to do over the next week, not sure how I'll get it all done in time.
Anyway, looking forward to life in the new city, I have been trying to think of things I can make without all of my welding or glassworking equipment. First thing that came to mind was oil-can flowers. Exactly what it sounds like. If I can dig up a picture of any of the ones I made in the past, I'll post it here. Next thing I thought of was pipe tampers. Gathered up all the oil cans I've collected, quite a few actually. Then I grabbed some of the barrel staves and Oak boards that I had in the workshop and cut 30 or 40 blanks for pipe tampers. That oughta keep me busy for a little while.
Now I'm wondering, aside from making pipes, what do you crafty guys do in order to keep your hands working? Paint? Play music? I'd love to hear what you like to make. Share photos too, if you have any!
