Are there any pictures of the winning set?
There are indeed. Taken by a hired-for-the-purpose professional who had all manner of fancy-schmancy glittery cameras & lights, in fact. 8)
They won't appear in public until the Fall issue of P&T comes out, though. September, I believe.

georged, thanks for filling out details on the competition. I'm not a fan of the cavalier shape, but the 2015 pipes would weaken my resolve, and I like the idea of a similar row of author shape pipes. This is an excellent showcase for carvers. Do they have to produce a pipe within the seven-day period, or is that only the window for submitting. Impressive in any case. Great idea. Nice photo too.

The carvers have appx nine months to work on their entry, and the only time constraint is the final entry deadline which is the day before the GKCPC show itself.
Next year will be a "free form" year, by the way, where the ONLY requirement (other than the pipe can't be a giant, size-wise), is that bamboo be part of the design. Meaning used in a significant way, not just a stem dot, or something.
