Max has been in Japan for the past several months and stopped in at Kagaya to pick up some Momoyama for me. The shop is located in an arcade and is filled with pipes, pipe tobaccos, and all sorts of interesting things. Here are some photos of the shop.

Okay, I’ll ask. What is Momoyama? I googled for half a second and it was not obvious. Great looking pipe shop, by the way!
Momoyama is an unusual aromatic, subtle, savory, mellow, that is currently made by MacBaren only for the Japanese market. With the coming evisceration of MacBaren by the fine folks at STD, I asked Max to snag me a bunch of it on this trip, in case it disappears, and also hoping that it will be the same thing as Max bought for me a couple of years ago. These days that could be a long shot, but we'll see. I'm also picking up another tobacco from India that's for the Japanese market. Should be interesting.

The shop has a lot of stock and a lot of other stuff. Since they don't allow photography, Max had to be very careful to take the few snaps without calling attention to himself. Actually, there are a lot of photographs of the store if you do a google images search.

Good question. We have a few members who live there. Maybe they can speak to that.
There is a fairly hot market for vintage Britwood, despite competition from China.
I used to help a friend in China resell estate pipes, occasionally a Dunhill but mostly those other fancy artisan pipes I know next to nothing about. His commissions bit it around 2019 and he related that the estate market in China had taken a massive hit.
