Sasieni is a long time favorite of mine. I'm another smoker who is not convinced that I should spend a lot of effort trying to acquire blends that are not as widely distributed.

Went back for another today. Yes, I agree, it’s better in briar.

I can see getting some more in the future, so long as it’s not inordinately expensive.

Looking at some of my unopened tobaccos and I see that Latakia is the first tobacco listed for my Maltese Falcon blend. How does that compare with the Sasieni?

Okay, finished the Sasieni and had a pipeful of Queen Anne’s Revenge for a change of pace.

Eying the Maltese Falcon, but it might wait until I’ve finished a couple more tins before I crack it open.

I smoked my first Sasieni last week and immediately ordered a bunch. Absolutely one of my favorites.

November 2018 Tobacco Pipes had Balkan Sasieni on sale for $5.88 a tin. I purchased four...should of bought more. I really like it.

Maltese Falcon is one of my favorite English blends. It is less spicy than Balkan Sasieni. Probably less Lat/Oriental forward. I don't think Sasieni has any topping. Maltese Falon does. I didn't know about MF's topping at first, just that it tasted different than any other English blend, and that I loved it.

Love BSasieni and just tried MF for the first time Friday. Good stuff. Fresh from tin, will get back to it shortly. I’m guessing it just gets better. My local tobacconist called it Malted Chicken. I thought tat was pretty good.

I have a tin that I cellar like the holy grail, because it's unavailable in my area. I am going to do the same as I did with a bunch of Rothshild wines ... keep 'em and keep 'em until one day I decide that life is too short and I drank it all

I have 1 tin of this in the cellar that is about 6 years aged. Keep forgetting to revisit it to see how it changed with aged.

That's what encourages me to buy anything. The reverse marketing psychology of expensive=better has fallen flat too many times for me.
Balkan Sasieni is a good one. Another to try would be Balkan Supreme.
I love Balkan Supreme! I smoked a pipeful last night, and will probably smoke another tonight. It's hard for me to admit, but I've realized I probably like Balkan Supreme better than bulk Nightcap. A freshly opened tin of Nightcap is another story though :puffy:

Both BS's are favorites here. Nightcap is good too. Haven't tried Maltese Falcon, one of my favorite flicks. Concerned about the topping, though. And it won't have Sidney Greenstreet...

Haven't had and Balkan Sasieni in about 6 months. May have to dig out my tin soon. Getting cool and crisp outside. Good time to start dipping into the "darker" mixtures.

Redglow: brother you’re killi’n me. Smoking some MF right now at 7:35 and it’s 105 MF’n degrees out! Cool and crisp! I’d give a bag of Penzance (if I had one) for cool and mildly crisp.

Had My Sasieni last night, still freakin hot!
From Arizona with envy.

93 degrees here, but they say that the humidity makes it feel like 104 degrees.

I’m from Nevada originally and I’ve been in 106-107 degree heat that was more tolerable than this!

Yeh, when people from Arizona start telling me about the heat, I just laugh, because we go to Tucson in the middle of summer for vacations and to get away from the Alabama heat. What is reported on the news is deceiving. 93 degrees here is way worse than the nice and dry 107 of the desert.
