I think this is the third variation on a Reverse Calabash Snapping Turtle...Liked the grain...one of those hard decisions on whether to leave it smooth with a few sandpits visible or to do a sectional blast on the turtle head portion...

Thanks Guys...I'm thinking I'll just leave this one smooth... I've actually been smoking one of my earlier ones just to make sure it actually works- kind of interesting- even with the nasty Florida humidity, it's a really dry smoke...I may do some other types of Reverse Calabash just to have some variety...

Thanks Harris!...By the way..just to change things up- instead of leaving the rugged plateaux surface, I sanded this one down to highlight the birdseye...
