Their legacy will live on through Black Cordial and Creme Brulee.Sutliff goes from 400 aromatics to 4.
At least a good majority of their offerings were kind of weird and forgettable... doesn't make it any better, though.

Everyone at Sutliff, TobaccoPipes and CupOfJoesDoes anyone know how many people will be made redundant from this?
That’s dreadful. And I guess a lot of the MB staff too?Everyone at Sutliff, TobaccoPipes and CupOfJoes
I'm in the same boat. I only tried it a couple of days ago but absolutely loved it.Terrible. Guess I'm gonna have to find something similar to Old Dark Fired, but at least I'm sitting on about a pound. Hopefully C&D has something close. What a bunch of bastards...
Rip to his inboxcan't wait for @leonardw to show up here again...
You can still get yourself a 5lb bag on tobaccopipes.com for only $357!I'm in the same boat. I only tried it a couple of days ago but absolutely loved it.
P.S. If you do find anything similar to Old Dark Fired please let us know! I'm sure as time goes on there will be a lot of threads of folks asking for recommendations to their now gone favorites.
I'm also curious about this, but at this point it's just salting the wound.Anyone motivated or knowledgeable enough to compile a full list of SKUs that are dying here?
I stocked up when the news first broke and I still feel like a schmuck.Glad I stocked up on my favorites. I'd feel like a schmuck right now if I didn't...
The MB factory will eventually be closed and production of whatever will move to STG’s Assholes plant.I believe Mac Baren has its own factory - and that the Sutliff factory in Richmond VA is shutting down.. So I'm assuming Mac Baren blends will continue to be made at the MacB factory
Pretty certain most of their blends were made from sutliff leaf.I’d love to hear from some of the big B&M’s about their situation after these closures, etc. Country Squire, Boswell’s, and LJ Peretti have great alternatives to these tobaccos so long as they weren’t reliant on Sutliff for their blending materials…
Thank you! I ended up picking up a couple of pounds and a pound of Rustica and Bold Kentucky respectively. You can still get yourself a 5lb bag on tobaccopipes.com for only $357!

SPC? Seattle Pipe Club? Where is @mattguss?I know Hearth is gone as well as a couple of others thanks to STG, but SPC will go from being some of the finest tobaccos to meh
Plus the people at Mac Baren.Everyone at Sutliff, TobaccoPipes and CupOfJoes
