I found this pipe by accident, from a pen salesman. It was an incredible Dunhill Calabash: I couldn't believe it!

It was dirty, rusty and the corkwood was not good, but It has a lot of potentials!

I talked to a great friend of mine and asked him if it could be restored.

I was very happy when he confirmed: "yes, it's possible!".

After a lot of work (30 days), it was perfect:

Amazing, a rare pipe beautifully restored!

I have to compliment the photography too. Beautiful still life shots.

Indeed!

Obs: But wasn't me...

This job was made by Naddeo, a great friend.
I only do simple things, like polish and cleaning.
Thanks

That is a stunning pipe. It looks to be more of a manageable size too for a calabash. I'm also interested how the Meerschaum got so white. I thought they darkened from the bowl out as they were used.

Could you kindly ask the restorer how he whitened the meerschaum? Or was it Photoshop?

Sure, I will!
It's a little less white, the reflection of light helps. But it's white. As it is possible to see in the pics, it was very little used, the meerschaum is still white. The darker layer was superficial. =)

Mike, you're right, it darkens with the use, but this was very little used.
Thanks!
