That polished Cooke is my cup of tea; the stem is nice and thin, the grain is beautiful, the shape is great.
Let me know when you are tired of it. LOL

peck, I love the new pipe, that color stem with the purple hues of the pipe is my favorite combo of his. That smooth pipe is gorgeous, killer grain and birdseye and a shape I have not seen from him before, great score. I am curious to hear how you like smoking one of his smooths in comparison to his blasted ones. I bet it will feel kind of weird in the beginning.

Peck - Can you imagine what your Cooke collection will be worth in a hundred year's time? I can see a Sotheby's sale or Christie's sale in the high six figures - It'll be like auctioning off a Van Gogh.

It is an interesting question Kash. I won't be around in 100 years so not sure I really care, lol. I wonder though if they will increase in value much even over the course of 20 years. JT is in his mid 60s, but I am sure he has plenty of pipemaking left in him, so perhaps not. Who knows. I do know that if I was betting on the pipes made by any of the current crop of pipemakers to increase substantially in value over the next couple of decades, I think my bet would likely be on Cooke (though Jess C may win that race).

Congrats, beautiful, stunning et all. Colors rock.

How do you know which one on the many beauts you own to grab.

Would be a dilemma for simple minded folk like me.

I'd venture a guess that the JT Cookes you buy today for $850 will easily be worth twice that in ten years time. Even more. Look at some of the famous Danes no longer producing and what their pipes fetch. Cooke's pipe are so unique, and so distinctively "his" - they can be confused with no other. We are fortunate to be living in a time when his pipes are still currently bring produced, and those who can afford them are in an enviable position. I myself do not own one, but would do so in a heartbeat if I could afford to. This latest piece with matched purple / black with the home spun orange acrylic swirl is simply spectacular. The fact that its a chubby billiard, one of my favorite shapes, in a magnum size to boot, really knocks my sock off. Congrats peck on a really fine pipe.

I had a JT Cooke pipe I bought in the early 90's that I paid around $200 for. It was kind of a billiard looking pipe with a really skinny volcano bowl. I bought it because the blast was unlike anything I had seen before. The stems were remarkable. Regretfully, I traded it away a few years later knowing that I would secure another one.... then everyone figured out how nice they were so I still haven't secured another one.
Those are outstanding pipes Peck

Okay, peck, now I'm beginning to understand how your Dunhills get forgotten in the closet. If I lived near you, I'd have to

restrain myself from going through your trash. Those are some glamour pipes from Cooke.

Beautiful pipe. I would have a hard time not showing it off to everyone I know
