Hi @jozefbehr

A Very Happy New Year to you.

Those who know me know I have Buckley’s Chance of keeping to any resolution NOT to buy more pipes.

I may as well put on the hair-shirt and begin self-flagellation immediately.

So NO, I am NOT making any resolutions I don’t intend to keep 😁

I don't make New Year's resolutions. I have no idea what pipes I might buy. As far as tobaccos go, there are some I know I will buy - the old standbys. Otherwise, who knows? Don't overthink it. puffy

I sometimes make resolutions to be a good sport, but I always feel there is a reverse psychology that pretty much scuttles any resolutions. I don't mind stating a goal or plan I have in mind, but not as a holiday ritual. That way I can spell out, briefly, how I expect to fulfill it and let people know, if appropriate, how they can help.

Things that need doing sometimes need to be given a low-key, sometimes indirect approach to get them done.

Is this some new member thing? I've been noticing full name before the topic lately. At first I thought "that's very polite".. Then "full name on a internet forum?".. Then.. I won't go there since someone decided we won't make newbies unwelcome.

I'm gonna do the same thing I did for last 55 years. Breath. And burn tobacco for no good reason.

Recent health revelations have both startled and encouraged me.
I'm just going to enjoy each day as it comes.
Wishing you all a happy new year! 🥸

My new year’s resolution is the same as it always is. Lose weight.

And as always about August I’ll resolve to gain it all back by Christmas. If I could just hibernate from like September through January I’d be fit as a fiddle.
