So I have been wanting to do this for awhile. Last year I began working with Jordan to have him make me a custom pipe. I have always wanted a horn shape, but the ones I really liked were way out of my price range. Jordan said, "send me some ideas of what you want and I'll see what I can do." So I did like he said, sent him some ideas and stem colors I wanted and he got to work on ideas. A month later he came to our club and brought my piece of briar. This is what I saw (sorry for the fuzzy picture it gets better.)

After some discussion on design and some redrawing, he said I could come to his shop and watch him shape my pipe. Here he is in the process.

When Jordan came to the West Georgia Pipe Club I asked him how he got into pipe making. He said during the great Georgia ice storm, he was stuck at home and just decided he wanted to try and make one. What makes this remarkable is that Jordan is 19 years old, and is already making some gorgeous pipes. I know that you guys can't necessarily go to his shop, but we should definitely support this young pipe maker. As you can see from my horn he iis literally reshaping the pipe world one pipe at a time. He does his own thing, while still working with your wants, so I present to you my gorgeous one of a kind horn.

Jordan makes lots of shapes, all of his pipes are big, that is a part of his style. Here is a shot of my horn and another that the West Georgia Pipe Club is raffling (sorry you guys can't buy tickets) but I wanted to show you another piece of his work. If you want to know more about Jordan let me know, these young pipe makers and smokers are our future! Enjoy!

While I don't care for the horn shape as a pipe for myself, I can certainly appreciate that this is a great piece of work. Congrats, shaintiques  Also, I would like to know more about Jordan

Shaintiques: How do we get a hold of Jordan ? PM me an email address please.
I'm trying to add some pipes from beginning or less known carvers. After all, how many Petes and Savs does one need ? I may consider adding a Jordan Basone to the list. Looks like great work.

Some guys spend thousands of dollars to get a custom pipe or design, but Jordan is just getting started and his pipes are very reasonably priced. I expect one day his pipes will be harder to come by.

Fabulous pipe carver!! My question is how does one go about getting the rusticated part dark like that?

Very nice work! And as you said, great to see younger guys doing this...especially Americans. Gotta keep the art/hobby/lifestyle alive in our culture. So many younger people missing out on one of life's great pleasures because of the astonishing level of ignorance, propaganda and hysteria toward tobacco in our society.
