Now that John Cotton's Smyrna is no longer in production, here is a rough approximation of the formula, using Sutliff tobaccos (as long as they are available).
I don't know if these are the exact same tobaccos used in the final product, but it will put you in the ballpark.

TS19 is described in Sutliff"s literature as "Ribbon cut Smyrna grades"
What’s in JC Double Pressed Creme and Double Pressed Virginia?

Fake.
That blend never existed in the John Cotton’s portfolio. My somewhat educated guess tells me that it is a rebadged pre-existing product. It was introduced after I left the company.
Good to know. I’ve been curious about them but I’ll just pass at this point.

I think we did 3 John Cottons. JC 1, JC 1 & 2, JC Smegma Smyrna. The Double Pressed thing was a piece of 'Badge Engineering' by the Spillman Drive Minions at P&C. Tins of most of the original line show up on Pipe Studs website occasionally although tins of War Horse Rub Your Own are getting tough to find these days.

I blended some two weeks ago and tried it over the wekend, and all I got to say is WOW! I've been blending for about a year and a half, and at first it was my own creations, but then I started blending recipes I found on the internet. I've found some blends that I like very much, but what gets me about this blend is that while I have used all of my blending tobaccos in various blends, I can't beleive I got these flavors from my existing tobaccos!

Looks like I got the last of the Smyrna at P&C. I had ordered it before my post above. When I put it in my cart it said "only 10 oz" I thought they were restricting amounts do to not being able to get more, but when I went back to check on getting more it said "out of stock". I'm glad I did because it's sold out everywhere I looked.

Were they selling bulk?

@woodsroad : You didn't post how to make its sister blend John Cotton's Smegma. I seem to remember the composition was 30% freshly scraped Fromunda Cheese from 65+ year old codger, some cheap Drug Store Cherry tobacco and the contents of an ashtray!
I got a tin of this...terrible stuff! Gave it away!
