JJ Fox or Peterson pipe Non filter

Some of the guys in JJ Fox know there stuff when it comes to pipes, so definitely pick their brains when you're in there. They won't have corncobs, but if you do want to pick one up as a very cheap alternative, Segar and Snuff in Covent Garden usually has them in stock.

Can I smoke non filtered in a pipe that accepts 9mm filters? In other words can I choose not to put the filter in?

I bought the rattray and had two bowls. My first attempt wasn't very good. Second bowl not filled to top I got a 32 minute smoke. Pat gently at bottom first load then firmer for second amount of tobacco. No filter. The smoke was gentle but sometimes really harsh which I love. Love when it's hot and hits back of throat! Condor and st Bruno first and second bowl. I checked again Tesco and Sainsbury's don't sell pipe tobacco. Only on website unfortunately. Had to go to specialist shop in London. so annoying the supermarkets don't sell pipe tobacco anymore. I only went medium size Tesco and Sainsbury's. Maybe the superstore sells pipe tobacco but I'm doubtful.
