This goes on sale today at 6 p.m. EST. It's a limited edition of 5,000 tins.

The lightly sweetened Dominican cigar leaf cavendish provides an abundance of smoke, floralness, peat, cedar, bread, herbs, leather, earth, wood, vegetative grass, sourness, some sugar, mild tart citrus, spice, tea, coffee, and light creamy butter notes as the lead component. The unsweetened one sucker Kentucky burley cavendish offers plenty of nuts, earth, wood, bread, some sugar, vegetation, mild floralness, and molasses as a supporting player. The years 2013, 2019, and 2023 North Carolina red Virginia cavendishes supply a fair amount of tart and tangy citrus, grass, bread, sugar, floralness, spice, and light acidic vinegar. They almost equal the one sucker Kentucky burley, and are a step more noticeable this time due to their inherent fruity qualities. All the varietals were steamed and toasted. In order of the importance of the toppings are bitter coffee, chocolate, and very creamy vanilla with what appears to be a little burnt caramel. Their effect is moderate although a tad less so than the previous version with the exception of the coffee which seems a touch stronger this time. The strength is a couple of steps past the medium mark. The taste is in the center of medium to full. The nic-hit is medium. There’s no chance of bite or harshness. Has a few small rough notes. Mildly moist, well balanced, complex and deeply rich, it burns cool, clean and slightly slow with a very consistent smoky, bitter coffee, creamy sweet (vanilla and chocolate), fruity, cigar, floral, mildly sour, spicy, savory flavor that extends to the pleasantly long lasting after taste. The sweet and sour, smoky, floral cigar room notes are pungent. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires a couple more than an average number of relights. It’s a little stronger than last year’s production so I would not classify this as an all day smoke. I recommend a wide bowl, and no more than a medium one for this blend. Four stars out of four.
