Sunday, November 12, I will be a guest at the Eastgate Comic Con in Greensboro, N.C., near the airport. The legendary Roy Thomas will be there as well. Lots of comics, toys, videos, cos-play events, too. If you're around, stop in and say "hi."

My beef with Comin Cons is the complete and utter lack of the attendees personal hygiene. I have no idea how adults can care so little for their own person. The smell at every comic con I've attended was.... an unforgettable affront on my senses.

My beef with Comin Cons is the complete and utter lack of the attendees personal hygiene. I have no idea how adults can care so little for their own person. The smell at every comic con I've attended was.... an unforgettable affront on my senses.

Having attended a three day convention before, I can confirm that a great many of the attendees neglect to shower. The staff were handing out travel size deodorant sticks along with the badges. They didn't seem to be used much.

That sounds fantastic. I'm glad you had a great time.As a kid I loved war comics. I had a large collection, which when I grew up, I gave to my nephews, they are fanatics of comics. Thanks Jim for sharing.

My youngest son is really into Comic Cons and cosplay. We made him a Paz Vizsla cosplay from the Mandolorian. I knew he was going to sweat his rear off in that outfit, so I made him shower before we went, then made he wear dri-fit clothes under it and tons of antiperspirant. It was his first time actually dressing for a Con. He got all irritated that I was so adamant about not stinking. Then half way through the first day he leans over and whispers, Dad, some of these people really stink....

In my experience the worst is gaming conventions. Those people are on another level of bad hygiene.

I hope you have a blast! I will be involved in a small group show myself this weekend, or I would certainly drive over to attend, and shake your hand.
I've never been to a comic con, but they seem like something I would enjoy.
