Seriously though, every time I hear/read mention of this dish I'm taken back to the song whose lyrics I totally misheard and for years believed were....

'Jambalaya, Goldfish Pie, File Gumbo....'

I used to think how mean Americans were making pies out of poor old goldfish!

Looks tasty! I love Jambalaya although none of the restaurants I visit regularly carry them.

There is a Mexican/Cajun restaurant in Newark, Delaware called “Border Cafe” which used to serve a terrific Jambalaya. Earlier I had to visit that place for work, and would often have lunch / dinner there.
