Jack has definitely has an eye for the classic shape and the ability to turn it into reality. Love the finish!
And, even though his buttons run a little large, they somehow always work (for me).
Personaly, I prefer a more pronounced button. Makes the pipe more secure, especially with a tapered stem.

Awesome looking pipe Jesse. I am a huge fan of Jack's Billiards and have one in the que as my next pipe from Jack.
His shaping on Billiards is as good as anyone carving today. Enjoy that for many years to come.
He makes a beautiful billiard. It's a beautifully purely functional shape. All the ratios are spot on. Billiards used to bore me, but I've come to see in them the elemental expression of a tobacco pipe.

That's an intensely pleasing looking pipe. Hard to beat a tapered billiard with an ample chamber, and the refined low-key blast is definitely a winner. That one may be shouldering over your other pipes for a long time to come. It's nice to have the extra leaf in there when you get a good blend burning evenly and delivering the flavor. I suspect you'll smoke the hell out of it.

"it smokes wonderfully well. It practically smokes itself."
That is the magic Jack brings to the table. I thought Rad was great at making his pipes smoke themselves, but Jack is right there.

Absolutely gorgeous. What are the dimensions?
Measurements are approximate:

length: 6 3/8"

bowl height: 2 1/4"

bowl width at the rim" 1 1/2"

chamber diameter: 15/16"

chamber depth 1 3/4 +"

I don't know Jack's airway specs. All I can say is that it's open and incredibly smooth. Drilling is done perfectly. Fit and finish are as good as it gets.

May we see photos of the pipe after handling and a few smokes? I love how naturals “wear” and change contrast with handling. It really personalizes it as “your” pipe.

Very nice. Should color well over time. I've been tempted to commission a Howell. I think that this may have put me over the edge. Hopefully the waiting list isn't completely crazy.
