Boswell's has really become my go to when looking for a style of pipe. Mainly they are not super expensive pipes IMO and it's a good quality handmade pipe.

The Boswells have agreed to support our Tobacco Crawl. We'll organize the Boswell Tobacco Crawl next after we finish the Russ Oullette Crawl. We'll probably ask you to vote on which ones you would like included.

We haven't agreed yet on details. Actually, I spoke with him about it last summer, when I first started contacting vendors. We didn't do an aromatic theme so the Boswells would get us two birds with one stone: a blender feature and a class theme. Dan did agree to put together a special sample package for us.
That's a major plus I do enjoy boswells aros but I am finding the English blends they offer are right up there with the best.
I spoke to JM last night when I was there and they are going to be re-doing their website. You will be able to order their blends right off the web-site.
Their Christmas Cookie blend is a favorite of mine. Just ordered another 6 ounces!

I love going there!!!!! I also love their pipes. I have three and for the money they are up there with the best. The Boswell's treat you like you are their number one- preferred customer.if you haven't made a visit to this iconic store put it on your " to do" list.

For those who like Northwoods you've got to try their new blend called "Titus". I received a 1 oz sample when I got my new Bing pipe from them and I like it more then Northwoods.
Ray47 - so you bought the Bing I was eyeball'n for all of 47 seconds before the SOLD indicator went up.
Congrats to you sir! Having 3 Boswells myself I know that's a good pipe.

The Bing I bought was never listed on the Boswell site. It was specially made for me by Jim & Dan. I don't know who bought the one you are referring to. My Bing is a great smoker and has caked up just right.

I'm not sure how I forgot to check back on this post; I am just now seeing your Bing was a custom made. Alas, there are 2 happy Boswell Bing smokers...it just isn't me (although I am happy with all my Boswells). :puffpipe: :D

I have several Boswells. All, and I mean all, are great smokers. I have a Canadian that I smoked today for the first time in a while. Put some Pipeworks and Wilke Butternut Burley in it. Wow and just Wow!
If I were starting out on this great pipe adventure, I'd start with Boswells. Their pipes are just flat made right, smoke from the get-go and will always run a cleaner without a hitch.
I also am a fan of many of their tobaccos, especially Northwoods.
Can't say enough about J.M., Dan, and the entire family operation.

Thanks Tenn, I forgot I have a jarofNorthwoods somewhere, good solid pipes also. Good people to deal with.
,I have three Boswell pipes, and they're all great smokers. I watch the site carefully, searching for a smaller pipe than they customarily make. And their tobaccos--regardless of category, every tobacco is a classic.
