Straight pipes are just not my thing. Rad Davis is making a pipe for me with the request to make as much bend as he feels he can do while keeping its integrity. But I just had to try a J. Alan pipe. And what an opportunity!
I know that this pipe should have fetched way more $$ than it finally sold for;

Actually, an estate Gracik carved piece rather than sandblast or smooth is going to be a lot more economical. I think the price point was just about right (at least, in my experience). The smoking qualities will usually be the same though, so I think you nabbed what should be a terrific smoker from a very well known and respected pipe maker at a very good price. I can't wait to hear how it smokes for you, Allan.

Jeff indeed does great work. Several Morleyites have a bunch of J Alans, putting my one solitary piece to shame. Jeff was a member of the Morley's PC when he studied at Princeton.
