J.Alan Pipe-I Finally Got One

Some you guys may have read on my questions regarding the 'value' of J. Alan Pipes. He is an American Artisan who's work I've seen at the NYC Pipe club meetings. The gentlemen who own them claim that his work is nearly flawless and are all great smokers, disregarding $$.
Well, thanks to Pipestud, I finally got one.

Wow. I saw that one -- the looks don't call to me, personally, but I bet it's a great pipe. I've heard nothing but praise for how well they are made and how well they smoke. To be clear: You picked that pipe for a song. CONGRATULATIONS.

That is a fantastic score Allan. I almost through in a bid on that one well. I have heard that he is absolutely meticulous and spends a ton of time on each pipe, so I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Congrats.

Nicely done Allen! I had been following this myself all week. I've badly wanted one of Jeff's pipes.
I highly recommend those of you with instagram or twitter to follow him. He posts pictures of his work that honestly make me drool. He has a recent pic of some birdseye that is absolutely stunning. It is currently the wallpaper on my phone. I stare at it all day.
That's a great win, I hope it smokes amazing.

Jeff's work is amazing, even more so when you consider the relatively short amount of time that he has been turning pipes out. His work is flawless. I bet it will smoke like a dream.
