I'm going to take your advice and spend time with the pipes I have instead of looking to buy more. I have enough pipes and tobaccos to really start exploring the different combinations. So far I'm not fond of Design Berlin pipes, their stems have almost nonexistent buttons. I have a number of 9mm filter pipes which I like because I have the option to use the 9mm filter, a 6mm Savinelli with an adapter or no filter. I've found the 9mm filter helps to open up aromatics .
I now pay much more attention to the weight of the pipe particularly if it's a straight pipe. I have about a 50/50 mix of straight and bent pipes and currently favor smoking the bent pipes but I go back and forth.
I have sold items on ebay but never a pipe. I'd imagine that might be a challenge consider what picky bastards we pipe smokers are.
