I've made a mistake

I drilled the bowl about a quarter of an inch too deep and met the pilot hole on the other side when I was finishing the shaping. Would anyone happen to have some advice on how to fix it?

Drill it out bigger and plug it. This is a 1963 Dunhill that someone plugged. The pipe smokes great and is a survivor

That's actually a very neat repair.

Not only drilled too deep, but from the angle of the photograph, the chamber looks to be about an inch off center.

A fresh block of wood and starting over would help. Gotta learn somehow!

I’d suggest a dowel. Get the smallest OD you can find and work it down a bit.
