After reading shillelagh3's post about building a pipe cabinet, a voice in my head told me "This is a GREAT idea!!! You can do this! while playing "Push it to the Limit" from Scarface. After spending a couple of days drawing, measuring, cutting, sanding, and sweating, I have made my grandfather proud by turning a pile of unused wood....into a smaller pile of unused wood. This lead me to use my unmatched skills of corner-cutting and instant gratification to setup the box below.
Step 1 - Steal one of the boxes the fiance uses as a decorative but pointless table fodder.
Step 2 -Verify the box is in fact empty as to avoid the shoe in the arse.
Step 3 - Cut the craftsy foam to fit.
Step 4 - Dremel the craftsy foam. I find the higher RPMs the dremel goes, the more you feel like a man (warning.....craftsy from WILL melt
Step 5 - Purdy that foam with some shiny Peterson green cloth.
Step 6 - Insert Pipes
Step 7 - Insert your favorite pipe nostalgia photos.
Less than an hour and I've got my own center/talking piece.
