Wait…it cooled down in Florida? Did I miss something?
Glad you recovered from Covid.
I just returned from a week of golf in Orlando. Beautiful weather. Low humidity mornings and poolside afternoons. Pegasus and Granger evenings.

A bit chilly here on my return to NJ. Had to don a hoodie for the first time.

OP — Glad you’re feeling better. Were you vaccinated and contracted Covid? Just curious as to symptoms with vs without.

And of course, Mrs Grangerous made me take two Covid tests upon arriving home. -Negative.

For the first time in two weeks since being over covid I can actually enjoy what I'm smoking! No more burnt plastic and tooth paste taste in my mouth when I light up and smoke! Tonight I lit up some C&D from beyond ( still trying to pick out all the flavors in this one ) in my lovely stanwell pipe. Since it's cooled down here in Florida and there's almost no humidity right now I decided to light up some Cavendish in the woods in a corn cob. Absolutely delicious. And now here I am getting my fill of some Latakia with some Maltese falcon in one of my favorite pipes. I'm in pipe heaven lol. Damn it's good to be back!
Just don't burn out your tongue with fire!
Patience, savor each bowl.

Glad you enjoyed your trip to Orlando. They have some great golf courses around here.
I'm not vaccinated and am very sensitive to medications. The only two times I had the flu is when I actually had a flu shot and I almost had to go to the hospital because of it. Don't want to make it into a vaccinated versus unvaccinated or mast versus unmasked debate but like I said before ever since covid started I've been around countless people and several have had covid and just using common sense and having a built up immune system I had avoided infection. Me catching covid was a result of my boss not taking extra precaution when he didn't feel well and calling out of work and also letting me know that he was not feeling well and also sharing tools back and forth all day long and being trapped in a work van for 3 hours. I work with several people throughout the day and close contact and it never had an issue but when you're exposed to someone for almost 10 hours straight it definitely increases your chances.
All I can say is do the research yourself the average doctor is not actually qualified to give you advice on viruses and disease like this you need a disease specialist and a lot of them are actually saying the exact opposite of what we're being told to do and saying it's foolishness the direction we're going in. Take that however you want do whatever you want with it. Last thing I'll say is I know someone personally just a little bit older than me no health issues whatsoever that got vaccinated went back to work 2 hours later they found him stroked out completely a vegetable in his chair. Blood clot caused by the vaccine.Took him to the hospital to be treated and because you sign a waiver and voluntarily took a experimental drug his health insurance did not cover the almost $60,000 bill he had at the hospital. He cannot Sue Johnson & Johnson for the vaccine he was given. He's disabled for life and none of his insurance has paid out a dollar. they had to start a GoFundMe to take care of the hospital bill and his family just take that into consideration.

When I go home to the farm, there’s a 29 year old Amish widow with four children, across the road.

Her husband was only 30 years old, when the family came down with Covid 19 in the spring of 2020. Both adults were gravely ill, the two oldest children also.

She lived, he died.

That must have been God’s will, that a healthy 30 year old Amish man as tough as nails, died in the Spring of 2020.

Today, it’s a bad choice of not getting your shots.

If there was one cyanide laced jellybean in a jar of 100, would you sample the jellybeans?

I was specifically told by my doctor not to actually. If getting a shot every 6 months is what you need that's awesome. My motto is do what's right for you and I'll do what's right for me just don't try to force what you think is right for me on to me and I'll show you the same courtesy.

A friend of mine had a rare symptom of her COVID. She has taste back, but it's all whacked up. Some things she used to love are now repulsive, the worst of which is coffee. Tough stuff.

Persistant cough, no energy, loss of taste for months, not the way I want to spend my time, as a friend is experiencing.

I had a tick bite in 2015 with lingering symptoms until Spring of 2019.

The only thing that tastes a little bit off to me is when I smoke straight Virginia's they are a little more bitter than sweet like I remember.
Honestly since recovering from covid I felt better than I have in years and had more energy then I have in the past 2 years. It's like my bodys immune system naturally fighting it off kick started my metabolism and energy level again. No side effects or anything negative whatsoever only positives.

Excellent. So, by your experiences we should all try to get infected?

Thanks guys I appreciate the kind remarks. For those who wonder what covid was like for me it just started out as chills in the middle of night. Then mild flu like symptoms and a constant headache. The worst part was around day 5 my ears started plugging up and I had fluid on my ears which causes dizziness and vertigo. Because of this I completely lost my appetite and probably didn't eat for 5 days. Of course I was one of the lucky ones who lost my smell and taste so when I was able to eat everything was just nasty. After testing negative I still had fluid on my ears and fatigue for about 2 weeks and honestly that was the worst of it. It's been 4 weeks I believe and I'm happy to report that I feel 100% back to normal.

Don't let this scare you I honestly have been much sicker in my life many times. I work in the service maintenance industry so ever since this started I have been around hundreds if not thousands of people in a course I've been around several people who have been coded positive. Using common sense and supercharging my immune system I've been fortunate enough to be healthy this entire time. My actual contracting covid was due to working side by side with my boss for 10 hour straight within 3 ft of each other and him not feeling well and not knowing he had covid. He didn't tell me he wasn't feeling well or I would have been more cautious. We had a total of 3 hours drive time to the property we were going to in an enclosed vehicle which didn't help either. All the masks in the world and the shots in the world would not have protected me from that LOL. I say all that just to say please don't live in fear just use common sense.
