So before I get into what is actually pipe related I will get into how my work day went first....
-supposed to be my day off

-get snapped at by the man alllll day for not doing one thing when I am doing one thing he told me to do then tells me another than another and so on

- co workers being a$$' all day, complaining if I ask them to do or help me with something (which is what were supposed to do, help each other out... Right?)

- get told my work week is extended another 3 days!

- am put back onto graveyard shift after 7 months of busting my butt to earn that morning shift
So all that said and done, ok... I will live. Well... Then I dropped one of my favorite pipes and take a nice chunk from the bottom of it.... Great!!! Finally found the right tobacco to smoke out of it with no problems and now that is a definite weak spot in terms of cracking or burn out. Ya it may not be a couple hundred dollar pipe (since I don't own one) but it was one of my dads that i cherish. Great friggin day!

My condolescences to you Redbeard. Yeah, work and people at work suck sometimes. But, I have to admit I have a great boss. Sorry to hear about your move back to graveyard. Here's hoping you get back to morning shift before too much time passes. And that really sucks about your pipe, since it was your dad's. I would really be pissed. Hope you can get it fixed to at least be able to smoke it once in a while. Peace

You can send the pipe to a repair specialist, I've seen pipes that were from people's parents where they dropped it, broke it to pieces, and the repair guy was able to still make it look beautiful again. As for your day... That was really shitty, at least the next one has to be better right? I consider myself very lucky to have co-workers and a manager that strives to help everyone they can, after having worked positions myself where no one wanted to help and the managers were looking for someone to blame their own mistakes on.

Wow...that sounds like my boss. You sure you don't live in central Texas?
Sorry your day was so sucky. That is the kind of day pipe smoking was made for though. Get your dad's pipe, load it with love, find a quiet place, and think of the good things in life. This one is down...you can't change it. Make tomorrow a perfect day. Good luck.

Really sorry to hear about that lousy day, topped off with your Dad's pipe...
Hopefully the pipe will be repairable and this all will just be a memory.

Bummer day Red. Sounds like the boss is an a-hole. Any chance you can take your hard working butt someplace else? I know from experience an unhappy workplace can eat a hole in your soul.

Thanks everyone for listening (reading) my little rant... To try and answer everyone's questions/concerns
I really can't afford to send it out so it will sit in my rack and be a looker for now, it could be smoked but I'll leave it be. I really don't want to add fills to it that stand out even more. No biggie
Yes, my boss sucks LOL!
I have been looking for work for quite some time but have been having a tough time
I just came home, drank a few beers and puffed away on some nic heavy blend doing what I can to get a nic hit LOL! Bad maybe but I did it, I needed it HAHA
