Nice score! If you want break-in advice, there are 2 choices. Fill it halfway for a while so the lower part of the bowl carbonizes, or fill it up and go. The first method is recommended by experts. I use both methods and it really doesn't make much of a difference. Just keep it cool until you get the chamber coated with carbon.

foggy, I remember reading that about filling it halfway when I first started. I never did it. I always wondered what the theory was , it never made sense to me because if you start with only half then the top of the cake will not be equal to the bottom. I have found that my pipes break it fairly quickly, and they have all developed a nice even cake. I am glad to hear it doesn't make much of a difference. I have noticed that my pipes break in much quicker and develop a cake much faster since I only use flakes to break them in. Back when I was smoking English blends it took longer.
