A member here, Romeowood, sent me a truly special and marvelous gift.
Knowing of my love for Escudo, the real stuff, not that STG swill, he sent me a tin of the A & C Petersen version from 2001 that he couldn’t sell, as the tin had lost its seal a week ago.
Best of all, he sent it wrapped in a new NY Mets tee shirt!
While the tobacco is dry, it’s not dried out and is rehydrating nicely.
This is very special, as the A & C Petersen is one one of my absolute favorites and I am looking forward to firing up a bowl of this jet black goodness. It’s been years since I last had the opportunity to enjoy it.
Romeowood, thank you for the shirt, and for this fabulous tobacco. The scent is intoxicating.
I’m referring to the tobacco, not the shirt.
Thank you for the amazing gift!!

Delicious circles indeed!
At the first Muletown, Shane Ireland traded me a few coins for a couple flakes of the '97 Mcclelland 22 I had just opened.
Really makes you yearn for days of yore.

Had my last bowl of ACP Escudo last night. I will miss it dearly. The blend only got better (significantly) the farther away it was from cracking the tin. Perhaps the lost seal turns out for the better.

Very generous gift, I'm sure he enjoys the idea that you will enjoy it so much, as I'm sure most of us do as well.
