Is this Peterson drilled correctly?

UPDATE: My concern about the drilling was for naught. I just finished an inaugural bowl of Irish Flake and the pipe performed exceptionally well. It smoked cool and dry all the way down to the bottom with only the very slightest bit of gurgle towards the end. Hands down one of the best smoking pipes I own and I've only had one bowl. Plus, she's a beaut! Kudos again to TobaccoPipes for their stellar service and attention.

All my Peterson’s are drilled ‘off’. Gotta twist the stem off if I get to gurgling.
They’re pretty good smokers though.

It's STANDARD practice on 9mm pipes to have the draught hole either on the top or bottom of the mortise. This is by design. If that Pete were to have the draught hole dead centre, now THAT would be poor drilling.

10 petersons so far. every one of them are drilled like that, and every one of them can pass the cleaner from tip to bowl (well, one just won't, but i'm sure i haven't found the right angle). bent, straight, some what bent. i think it's just their design. they all smoke great, and i don't have moisture issue. looking at their system pipe diagram, it show the hole off center for the moisture trap. maybe they drill all of them like system, and just drill deeper on system pipes for the trap.
