I bought this Kaywoodie "500" model 42 back in college when I was first starting out.
Recently, I took a look and noticed that the shank is cracked in two places.
In attempting to unscrew the insert from the shank to inspect further, I cracked a washer-shaped piece off of it. Oops!
I never found the "Drinkless" stinger to help much, and it prevented getting a pipe cleaner all the way through without taking it apart, so it was never one of my favorites. I guess what I'm asking is whether anyone else would find this worth fixing before I throw it away?
