Probably a casualty of the re-stem's pencil-grind leveling in addition to the crazy over buffing.

An occasional Dunhill escaped the shop without a date stamp, though. (nothing special or malign, just human error)

Yes, I would guess the same casualties of that are the top right side of the "D" in England, the bowl size number and the finish letter, which is almost entirely erased? Not meticulous refurbish work... or just too rough with a buff

Yeh, I think its mold. When in doubt, throw it out. Oh wait, Dunhill? Ha ha. I'd rely on what Georged says. He's not house trained, but he knows his Dunhills and stems.

The new stem and man-handled stummel shouldn't affect the smoking characteristics at all.

It probably will but be sure you are getting enough value out if it. The Narrowing of the shank and the replacement bit (if not done properly) should reduce the asking price considerably.

Yeah, I will, the highest bid rn is 21 dollars, Im gonna see where it goes in the next days, but Im spending no more than 80-90 bucks on it tbh
