Yes @georged so much so that I can't make out the date stamp at all...
Yes, I would guess the same casualties of that are the top right side of the "D" in England, the bowl size number and the finish letter, which is almost entirely erased? Not meticulous refurbish work... or just too rough with a buffProbably a casualty of the re-stem's pencil-grind leveling in addition to the crazy over buffing.
An occasional Dunhill escaped the shop without a date stamp, though. (nothing special or malign, just human error)

Planning on buyingWere you planning to buy this, or do you have it already??
You think it’ll still smoke wellLegit, with an abused stummel to fit the replacement stem.
Great illustration of a grand butcher job.Probably a casualty of the re-stem's pencil-grind leveling in addition to the crazy over buffing.

The new stem and man-handled stummel shouldn't affect the smoking characteristics at all.You think it’ll still smoke well?
Okay thanks! The new stem and man-handled stummel shouldn't affect the smoking characteristics at all.
Yeah, I will, the highest bid rn is 21 dollars, Im gonna see where it goes in the next days, but Im spending no more than 80-90 bucks on it tbhIt probably will but be sure you are getting enough value out if it. The Narrowing of the shank and the replacement bit (if not done properly) should reduce the asking price considerably.
