I found a post on pipesmokersdens forum (yes, I've been going to other forums) and thought it was interesting. I don't do much on line buying so I don't understand why some think it's a scam. Looks legit to me. Comments?

Based on that forum thread if anyone here tells you it is a scam you will insist it isn't. Is that a pic from the actual cabinet? Can't you contact the seller?

I guess nobody can tell you what the seller's intent is.

If that's it, it sure looks nice.

The lack of background seems odd. It looks like a photo pulled out of a marketing ad rather than someone's home or place of business. I'm not saying that's the case. That's just my impression.

Sorry, ad says the seller doesn't have a phone that takes pics, missed that.

Contact the seller, that's where all the relevant info is.

I'm in no position to buy the cabinet. Too bad, I would like to, it looks like a deal to me. It's apparent that many of you guys commented on the ad but did not read it!!! Come on people...
I read it. Many here haven't got digital photo capability or know how but post images of similar items.

There are like 250 pairs here. That's what happens when you drug them up before you drop them back home. They keep leaving stuff behind.?
Mine are suede, with fluffy stuff around where your foot goes in. Probably have dog hair on the bottom. And a coffee stain or two on top.

See them?

@Searock Fan the ad says;

Available for local pick up in Houston area, so you can see it before you buy.

The only way this is a scam, is if you contact them and they give you some long winded BS of a story, telling you how you can go see it, but like need to mail the money because he/she is out of town, etc...

Just contact them by the email in Craigslist and see the reply given, it’s the only way to know for sure! :)

If you aren’t buying it and it’s impossible to know if it’s a scam why stir up a fuss on two different forums? ?

It’s Friday night, horror flicks are on and now a pipe rack may be in Plan 9 the sequel so bigger mysteries to ponder.

This is the only thing in your post that draws attention, you dirty cheater. How dare you use multiple forums in a free country. The nerve.

If the ad said something about a happy ending, that’s when you should be leery. Otherwise, as with any other purchase you make anywhere, it’s buyer beware. Also, I recommend you shop online more. It’s generally safe and there are more protections today than say 5-10 years ago. I like supporting B&M stores also, but you don’t take advantage of online pipe store (or other) retailers? If you aren’t taking advantage of online retailers - you’re getting scammed by B&M stores all the time. What’s the difference if this ad is a scam if that’s the case?
